Responsibilities:
Create and refine core content curricula to ensure alignment with Common Core and Colorado Academic Standards and school focus: Blackness, STEAM and Project Based Learning.
Build partnerships with district and external programs to develop pathways to college credit-bearing courses and extracurricular opportunities for students.
Design professional development opportunities for teachers based on individual and school-based areas of focus.
Serve as liaison between school design team and district representatives (marketing, legal, content area specialists).
Facilitate scholar voice through establishing Student Council, workshops, field trips and empathy interviews.
Write, edit and review family and community communication through newsletters and social media presence (Facebook, Instagram. YouTube).
Coordinate facility modifications with shared campus leader, according to district policy.
Engage educators, families and community stakeholders in planning conversations, consensus building conversations and events. .
Define and refine Unified Improvement Plan goals and areas of focus for approval from the school district and release by the State of Colorado's Department of Education.
Oversee the implementation of systems that allow instruction, operations, and school culture to be refined.
